We were loving the much needed sunshine yesterday! It felt so good to open the blinds and see the rays hit the carpet. I just wanted to curl up and lay in their beckoning beams! But now being a mother of two, who has time for beckoning beams? It felt nice to have a good day until I looked up at my sweet Claire looking out the window yearning to play with the kids outside on the grass. I felt so guilty keeping her inside so I decided to brave the "1 week after having a baby" body hurts and take her on a little walk to the park. With out a double stroller it was a little tricky, but it did us a world of good to get out of the apartment and into elements! (We won't talk about what happened at the park, it ruins the magic of the moment.)
Bring on Spring, we are ready. No teasing us with sunshine and then dumping 2 feet of snow...and this is our prayer!

Ahhh, to swing free again! So happy.
Here is Miss Macy Bea, a whole week old!

She has already grown so much... soak it all in, it's not fair how fast they grow up.
You naughty, naughty girl! I can't believe you walked to the park with your little ones. Someone needs to put some limits on you. You're trying to take on the world. If only I lived there, I could have helped you or something!
I agree with Jen. Take it easy Katie girl! You are sweet to take Claire to the park, but NO need to feel guilty about not taking her. You do lot's of fun things with her she will not be deprived during this time that her mom is recovering! Be kind to yourself! I am a little jealous of the warm sun-shining pictures and a cute little girl enjoying the swing. You are a good Mom.
who catches a smile on camera at one week old???
