Can we say Spring fever?
A little background on the long title of the post:Growing up my sister,Toni, and I had a tape of John Denver and the Muppet's that we absolutely loved! A tape we loved so much that we would play it over and over again because we simply couldn't get enough of songs such as: "Grandma's feather bed", "Today's the day we're going camping" (my personal favorite for which this post is titled), and Miss Piggy's version of "tumbling tumble weed". Well, tragically enough our intense love of said tape was to actually seal its death. For my elder sister....who we will call Biranda (names have been changed for protection purposes) was, unbeknownst to us, increasingly annoyed by John Denver and his clan of Muppet's! Enough so, that she sent the whole lot to its watery grave...or not so watery, possibly the trash can. Anyway, the tape (however disposed of) vanished to our dismay and desperation. But don't worry, all is not lost! Due to the magic of the internet, Brian's patience and search/finding skills, our dear John Denver and the Muppet's is now safely in my itunes library awaiting summer time when I will unleash the goodness that is John Denver and the Muppet's to get me pumped up and ready to go camping!
Okay, so that was a really long and laborious explanation of the title of today's post and now for the plot! Jer and I have been experiencing a bit of cabin fever and have been dreaming of all the wonderful things we will be doing when the great thaw happens! Dreams of the mountains we will be climbing, canyons we will be camping in, and following trails to wondrous beautiful places! Those being the great plans that will be living our this summer Jer decided it was time for Spring training for Claire and her pack! Thus the infamous words from J-Dawg and the Muppet's:
I've got my gear in my pack, I've got my pack on my back. Todays the day I'm going camping!
Claire looking good in her new ride.
Cooking dinner, and still looking and feeling good.

So my kids totally love John Denver and the muppets now. (Thanks to Toni and Brian's help with the CD) :) It makes me giggle, because it brings back great memories of our childhood. Such good times...
Me too! It cannot come fast enough. Call me!
What cute pictures... and I love the story to go along with it. So, did Claire spend the entire evening in the pack? She looks soo tall!
So we have that same backpack. It is awesome. We used it a couple times last year and Coop likes it. Have fun!
Lyvie says "tant yu cany." It was so nice of Claire to share her sixlets, and also her treats in church. She is a dolly!
