The Deets

...on the doll house. She loves to play with it and I love to see her play with it. A million man hours later and the house turned out awesome! This is the kit we bought (princess Anne)...not put together mind you. I can't believe how many little pieces there were. Pink and purple? Not my favorite.

Here is the finished product and a little more detail on the rooms. I would like you to pay special attention to the shingles. They are all separate and it took Jer 2 nights in a row to just stain them. Dedicated father right there. Next time you see him give him a little pat on the back, will you?
It was a lot of fun picking out scrapbook paper to use as the wallpaper and flooring. The paint is actually the color of the walls in our house. Hobby lobby had the best choice in small print scrapbook paper. Modge podge was my best friend for quite a few nights in a row. Some of the furniture is from my old doll house when I was little and some of it is new.
Here are each of the rooms. I made some quilts and throws for the beds and a rug for the living room. She likes the pink room the best. I can't imagine why. Mermaids plastic clothes are always shoved in the black closet.

Living room
Pink bedroom. She picked out the wallpaper for it without even knowing it.
Kitchen...see that cute brass high chair in the very back? That was mine when I was little. Ahh the memories. All of the brass furniture is my old stuff.
Bathroom
Attic room
Apparently the baby sleeps in the other attic rooms so it doesn't bother anyone when it cries. But I do have to say that I love the little old sewing machine in the gable!

That's it! We are glad to be done with it. And even more glad that she plays with it so much.

Amazing! Nothing like mine that I had when I was little. I still have it, but no one to play with it.
